The stamps are Hostess Exclusives (only available to those who host a Stampin' Up party).  If you're interested, do contact me!

I have now made, written & sent (I do hope!) all my Xmas cards for this year...

A bright and cheery card - unlike the dreary, wet day outside the window.  Doesn't matter how dismal the weather is though, only 2 more sleeps to go!

Christmas Dove

Using FMS #12 sketch from  Freshly Made Sketches.  Just Add Ink's challenge this week is to make a Christmas Card with no Christmas images or stamps - so I've used the Bird Builder punch to represent a dove of peace together with an olive branch.

Oh Christmas Tree ...

Using colours from CR84FN colour challenge and CAS sketch 167.

I was in two minds whether to bling up the trees with some glitter or not ... but finally decided I liked the "clean" non fussy look and left it at that!

CardPatterns 141

Card based on this week's CP sketch 141.  Apologies for the dull lighting  - the sun sets too early these days!  I love dots (can you tell?).  I've used scallopped card edges to complement the scallopped pennant parade stamp set and punch. See this post for how to ruffle the ribbon!

Fabulous & 40!

A rather OTT card for me but the occasion called for it!  My friend's 40th this week.  A fancy Easel Card loaded with different textures, pattern, scallops, metallic ink, ribbon & rhinestones!

Last week I snagged some ribbon by mistake aarg, but this led to a wonderful discovery ... ruched ribbon.  If you slightly fray the end of  piece of ribbon , locate a thread from the middle and pull, pull, pull (tweezers do help here!) with a bit of tweaking you get this lovely ruched ribbon effect!

Freshly Made Sketches #10

My take for this week's FMS Sketch

I had lots of fun with this one!  It's very simple and monochromatic but I love the finished effect.

I used paper to mask off two strip areas top & bottom for the stamp wheel.

Then when I'd added the middle strip, I cut slits in the card front to weave ribbon through to separate the three strip areas.  Does all that make sense?  ;)

Freshly Made Sketches #9

My card for this week's FMS sketch

Sketch Frenzy Friday

My take on the current SFF sketch SFF110411

What a miserable morning!  Hence rather dull photo. Chris Evans' radio forecast for today was mild, dry and sunny .. but it's cold, raining & overcast!  Anyhow, my SU order finally arrived (yippee!) so I'm feeling cheery.
