Loved this week's sketch from Clean & Simple

I inked around the card edges of the star paper for that "grungy" look and I roughly inked the inside of my Star embossing folder to add to the grunge affect.

I used an Aqua Painter (Catalogue p123) to blend the dark brown and turquoise inks in my stamped image.  Boy was it fiddly "ruching" the ribbon - I'd run out of glue dots & was using Glossy Accents instead ... won't be doing that again!

I replaced little and small circles with little and small tags!  I seem to have a penchant for bright & zingy colours at the mo' - must be my antidote to the dull & dismal weather ...

October's sketch challenge from The Lilypad and a masculine card for a change - no bling here!

Thanks for popping by!

This week's Clean & Simple sketch is very minimalist ...  I layered punched flowers with a bit of diamante bling and scalloped the edge of the card for a little more interest!

My take on Skipping Stones Sketch 98.
The Happy Birthday phrase is embossed & I unearthed a couple of tiny turquoise diamantes to match the die-cut flowers.

I inked the embossing folder on the metal side (using paper to prevent the ink bleeding around the edge of the metal die), then inserted a piece of card & ran it thro' my BigShot.

Some bright zingy colours for this week's FMS7.

I rather like the olive green hand-made paper (forgotten I had it!).  I used it here to make a more masculine card, coupled with navy blue and gold.  Card is based on latest Sketch Frenzy Friday's sketch 101411.

& a Stampin Up Mistletoe stamp.  Well I think it's meant to be mistletoe?!  I highlighted the berries with white pearls. The card beneath the olive green handmade paper is pearly white to complement the berries - not that you can tell from the photo ... oh well!

After doing the Wild Rose blog hop, I was inspired to use some pastel colours for a Xmas card rather than my usual conventional red/green/gold combo!  The snowflake is a lovely irridescent pink/lilac/green shade that complements the other colours really well  - well I think so :).

I used the Freshly Made Sketches #5 for my card layout

A respite from Xmas cards ... a birthday card for my friend next week.  Loads of bright fun colours, metallic & bling (hiding in the centre of the die-cut silver flower on the die-cut tag!)

Inspired by Skipping Stones card sketch 96
and satisfying Just Add Ink's JAI 88 requirement for die-cut items!
I am finally amassing a stock of Christmas cards ... !

My take on the latest Create With Connie & Mary challenge, CCMC 170:

I've embossed a Sizzix snowflake and added lots of glitter to the snowflakes below (not that the picture appears that glittery!)
