I didn't have inks in the colours so used watercolour pencils instead. I just crayoned on the Clockworks stamps & then misted with water before stamping - quite successful experiment i think! It gave a watercolour textured effect I rather like!

Hope your weekend's going well!

Been thinking what cake to make for a forthcoming Comic Relief Bake-Off fundraiser, so I have red noses on the brain at the moment! Here's a red-nosed Rudolph.

My first Xmas card of 2012. Not sure if that's impressive or not; tis super organised however (if I remember where I've put it come December ...)

Love is definitely in the air this week.

The sweet die-cut owl and sentiment are from a set I won recently over at LetsCraft&Create. Lucky me!

SU Confetti, Valentine
SweetStampinChallenge, LadybugCrafts and MyTimeToCraft have a love theme, Let'sCraft&Create has a CAS love theme the StampSpot wants to see hearts and TheCupboardTrilogy wants a sprinkling of red and romance.

You can make 2 of these pouches from a sheet of A4. If you want to have a go, I made them as follows:-
Cut the sheet of A4 in half lengthways to give 2 pieces 210 x 148mm. Take 1 piece & score lengthways at 4 3/4".

Turn the card over & score at 7 7/8"

Fold along the scored lines. Mark where halfway falls along the top edge.

Fold the bottom right corner up to the centre using the halfway mark to guide you.
Do the same with the left bottom corner.

It doesn't matter if they are not exactly the same (as my example shows!) as the fold over mini flap will hide this.  Stamp the card on both sides to your heart's content (no pun intended!)

Find something round (I used a ramekin dish) and draw the heart-shaped top edge as a cutting guide.

For those of you who live in the UK, I picked up a bag of 16 mini LoveHeart sweet packets in Poundland!
Hope your weekend's panning out nicely!

Oh Hello stamp set
My son asked if it's Spring now that it's 1 Feb - sorry son, another month to wait! I did feel the warmth of the sun on my face whilst out walking the dog today though. Lovely!

Meanwhile here's some pretty Spring colours, using some of the new products in the Spring catalogue:
The Oh, Hello stamp set and the Borders Plate for Simply Scored. I DO like this! I can see my using this lots! There's big & little zig-zags, scallops, dots, swirls & more ...

You would think that I stamped the sentiment on top of the zig-zag oval; it's actually the reverse. Heat emboss the sentiment and when you stamp over it, the ink is resisted over the embossed text.

Yippee it's the start of the weekend. Enjoy!
