3D papercrafts

Let'sCraft&Create want to see flowers.

C.R.A.F.T.challenge wants a project with "Queen for a Day/Fantasy/Bling it Up/Land of Make Believe".

CraftyRibbons has "anything goes" with ribbons.

CraftingForAllSeasons has no stamps allowed.

The large papier mâché initial is from Hobbycraft. I spray painted it with some gold paint & then had loads of fun "blinging" it! Yes, I realise, that's technically not a word but it conveys the right idea!

I used the Boho Blossoms punch to layer lots of flowers, then glittered and curled ribbon to my heart's content.

Here's to the weekend!

SU punches: Boho Blossoms
SU other: Jewels

Caryn has updated her blog and to celebrate she's giving away some blog candy.

She has a lovely CAS style - why not check it out here!

SU A Fitting Occasion

LessIsMore has 'CASE it' this week. I was inspired by Jen's banner, beige colour & paper piercing.

SirStampALot wants cards for special occasions and AddictedToStamps has 'anything goes'.

SU A Fitting Occasion

The little clover stamp is from the Itty Bitties set - there are 56 (yes 56, that's not a typo!) images covering all occasions: Xmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentines, Baby, Good Luck, Flowers, Leaves, Animals, Birds, Insects, Banners etc

SU card: Whisper White, Crumb Cake
SU ink: Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake
SU stamps: A Fitting Occasion, Itty Bitties
SU punches: Scalloped Edge, Circles
SU other: Paper Piercing Set

Baby cards, SU Perfect Postage

Using the CAS(E)thisSketch. SirStampALot wants cards for special occasions; SweetStampinChallenge wants to see polka dots, ribbon & bows; InThePink wants to see pink, ribbon and/or ruffles and AddictedToStamps has 'anything goes'.

SU Two by Two, baby cards

The sentiment is from the Two byTwo stamp.

Hope you're having a good weekend!

SU card: Whisper White
SU Inks: Pink Pirouette
SU stamps: Perfect Postage, Two by Two
SU punch: Scalloped Square, Corner

Sparkles wants a Christmas tag.

Simple with the Two Tags Die! Just a question of decorating it.

Lots of tiny Xmas tree images using the Itty Bitties stamp set and the larger tree and sentiment are from the Pennant Parade stamp set.

To turn it into a bottle tag, I punched out a 1.5" circle and scored a crease line to fit it over the bottle.

Thanks for popping by!

SU card: Whisper White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi
SU ink: Real Red, Wild Wasabi
SU stamp: Pennant Parade, Itty Bitties
SU punch: Circle, Window

SU A Fitting Occasion

Crafts4Eternity want to see wings on your project. HotshotCrafts want anything but a card. Let'sCraft&Create have anything goes.

If you would like to have a go, here's how I made it:
  • Cut a cardboard toilet roll into thirds. My cut piece was approx 3.5cm tall.
  • Cut a strip of patterned paper for your main image (not too deep you want to see a bit of background) and wrap it around your tube to see how long to cut it. Mine was 17x 2.5 cm.
  • Cut a strip of coordinating patterned paper for the background. It needs to be .5cm deeper than twice the depth of your tube. eg my tube was 3.5cm so my strip was 7.5cm deep. To find out the length you need, wrap it around your tube and add 1cm for overlap, then cut it. Then cut this strip in half (its easier to bend around the tube in 2 halves). Fold the 2 strips in half lengthways.
  • From your coordinating card, cut a 2 1/2" circle, a 1 3/4" circle and a scalloped strip approx 15cm long.
  • I also cut a thin strip of patterned paper to decorate my scalloped handle - not compulsory, up to you!
  • Cut a 2 1/2" circle of plain paper.
  • You will also need 4 mini brads to secure the scalloped handle.

Take your paper circle and snip around the edges
Glue it in the middle of your large card circle & fold up the edges
Glue around the inside of your tube, slide it over the paper edges and using your fingers, push the paper edges to the sides of the tube
Roll the background strips a couple of times to get them curved

Slide the curved strips down over the tube.

Pop your smaller card circle in to cover the paper.
Glue your image strip around the tube.
Fix your handle using a couple of brads either side.
I also added a tiny tag with the owl stamp from A Fitting Occasion cos it was so cute!
Lovely sunny Spring day out there! Hope all is well with you

SU card: Marina Mist
SU stamps: A Fitting Occasion
SU punches: Scalloped Edge, Circles, mini brads

SU Patterned Party

AddictedToStamps and MyTimeToCraft want CAS

Sun seems to have gone into hiding today. Shame! Hope all is well with you

SU card: whisper white

SU Clokworks, SU Papillon Potpourri

Using the Cardabilities sketch and the LessIsMore colour way of lime and black. SweetStampin wants to see scallops.

SU Clockworks

The lime green card blank is from the Sweet Threads kit. I went a bit "grungy" using the background stamp from the Clockworks set.

Hope you are having a good weekend!

SU card: whisper white, basic black
SU ink: Basic Black
SU stamps: Papillon Potpourri, Clockworks
SU punch: Papillon, Mini Butterfly, scallop
SU other: vellum, embossing polka dots

SU Spring Sampler, handmade bookmark

Just made a co-ordinating magnetic bookmark to include with the birthday card I made this morning.

To make a magnetic bookmark:

You need a piece of card approx 11 x 6 cm. Score it in half lengthways. Use the 2 Tags Die at the scalloped end. Adhere 2 strips of magnetic tape inside both halves. Then decorate!

Thanks for popping by!

SU card: Lucky Limeade, Primrose Petals, whisper white
SU ink: Primrose Petals, Lucky Limeade
SU stamps: Spring Sampler
SU punches: 1" Circle, Scalloped Circle
SU other: 2 Tags Die

SU Sweet Threads

Using the colour way from DynamicDuos. Let'sCraft&Create has anything goes and LessIsMore wants to see scallops.

SU Sweet Threads

My first ever attempt at cross stitching! Sweet Threads (£11.95) is a cross stitch kit with ample supplies to make 8 cards. Really easy to do & makes a pleasant change! It includes instructions - not that you really need them; it's pretty self-explanatory. Mind you, if I had read them I would have learned that you should have all the stitches slanting in the same direction!

SU A Fitting Occasion

I couldn't resist using the "made by me for you" stamp from A Fitting Occasion on the back of my card.

Hope you're having a good day!

SU card: Lucky Limeade, Primrose Petals
SU ink: Primrose Petals
SU stamps: Curly Cute
SU punches: Circle
SU other: Sweet Threads, Itty Bitty Buttons

CAS Christmas cards

ChristmasCardsAllYear wants to see a Xmas tree and WinterWonderland has the theme "Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star".

I've been playing with my new tool - paper piercing kit. Rather like the Simply Scored it's fab for adding that certain something extra to a card to finish it off (well, in my opinion!).

Have a good day!

SU card: whisper white
SU ink: Night of Navy
SU punches: Circle
SU other: Paper Piercing

Stampin Up Scored Borders Plate

Using the Connie&Mary sketch; LessIsMore wants to see scallops and i used up my snippets for Pixie (so satisfying making use of my overflowing box of offcuts!!)

As well as the scored scallops (done with the Simply Scored Borders plate), I added 2 rows of paper piercing. They are there, honest - the sun is so bright (i am not complaining!) that the photos haven't come out v clearly. Apologies.

Hope you're having a good day!

SU card: whisper white, Real Red
SU ink: Real Red
SU stamps: Fresh Vintage
SU punches: Corner, Scalloped Square, Itty Bitties
SU other: Simply Scored, Scored Borders, Paper Piercing

SU box in a bag
CASualFriday wants an Easter project that's not a card and StampinForTheWeekend wants anything but a card.
Some homemade brandy chocolate truffles for a grown-up's Easter Treat!
Isn't the mini "yum" label fab! It's from the SAB Pretty Petites stamp set with the coordinating Petite Label punch.
SU handmade gift

I made a mini box base in Pumpkin Pie, then took a piece of coordinating paper. This needs to be 2 times the width + the length of the box base + 1cm (to glue the edges together). Then score the paper where the corners of the base fall.

For example, if your box base is 7 x 5 cm, you need a piece of paper 25cm long. Score it at 5, 12, 17, 24 cm.

Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend!
