Stampin Up Flower Patch, Hardwood

You may recognise the snippets used to punch my wee flowers from a card I made last weekend over HERE! I'm therefore hopping over (avoiding the puddles on the way) to Di's playground with my card.

End of the holidays ... Back to school tomorrow ...

I'd like to say I can't wait ... !

Stampin Up, Tri fold card, Stampin Up Pictogram

Using Cardabilities sketch and FabFriday's colours.
SweetStampin want cards for a special man.

My man has got himself a new job; after a rather lazy month serving his notice he starts his new job and lots of exciting challenges tomorrow!

Using the sketch from JustAddInk.
PapertakeWeekly want blue/green & glitter.

A card for my "not into pink" niece.

Couldn't resist stamping this on the inside!

Shall I / shan't I peg the washing out? ... Strange day. Brilliant sunshine one minute and sudden downpour the next. Maybe not the best day for laundry on reflection. Does that make me a pessimist or a realist?!

Stampin Up punch art

Another card for HappyLittleStampers punches/die cuts challenge.

I often surprise myself with how many images you can create with punches.
Couldn't keep away from my fave Simply Scored; felt like the house could do with a little "grounding".
The flowers are from the, soon to be available, Sprinkles of Life stamp set!

Yeuchy yeuchy rainy day for the end of the school holidays.
Going to have some stir-crazy kids to amuse later!

InThePink want "things with wings" and SUonlyChallenges has the challenge "sweet treats".

Pretty little package - perfect for a little treat!

Children's party favour or even wedding favours perhaps ...

The beauty with Stampin Up is all the card and inks coordinate beautifully to match any colour scheme!

Using ColourQ's zingy colour combo and SketchFrenzyFriday's sketch. AddictedToStamps has "anything goes" and CraftyCreations wants "creatures great & small".

Had lots of fun with this one creating my own stamped background paper; I just went with the flow and tried a bit of everything! Some heat embossing first with the white outlined flowers, then over stamping with Flower Shop & Summer Silhouette stamps and finally some spritzing with shimmer mist. Great to have a real creative play and see what materialises!

Still half term and lots of time for creativity ... Oh I do love working in a school!

Stampin Up Butterfly Basics

Using SketchFrenzyFriday and ColorMyHeart wants black, white & gold.

The collage style stamps in the Butterfly Basics set are fab for layering and making backgrounds. All the black patterned papers I have in my stash felt too harsh, so I stamped away with some black and gold inks to make my own patterned paper:

The golden die cut butterfly has been fluttering (poor pun, sorry!) around my crafting desk for weeks. It was a little too brash for my liking; a vellum die cut has toned it done nicely! I'm therefore fluttering over to Di's playground of snippets with my card.

Stampin Up Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, wedding cards

CASology and JustAddInk have a "wedding" theme this week. I was inspired by the gold heart vellum, simple gold stamped image and thick cardstock over at Muse - perfect for an elegant wedding card!

A little tip (if you've not used vellum before) is to 'hide' your glue so it is not unsightly beneath your translucent vellum! I covered the back of all the little hearts with Tombow glue and this was sufficient to adhere the vellum to my card base.

Can't believe how chilly it is today - oh yes must be because it's a Bank Holiday here in the UK! What better reason to keep warm in my crafting space rather than be outside planting in the garden!

Stampin Up Zoo Babies

Using SundayStamps' sketch. MyTimeToCraft want zoo animals and CASonSunday have a tic-tac-toe challenge (embossing-make-twine)

Definitely a baby thing going within the family. This card is for a cousin who has just had a baby boy.

On a roll this afternoon - fuelled with a pot of tea and rhubarb & ginger cake. Yum!

Using the FreshlyMadeSketch; AddictedToCAS want animals and SweetStampin want birds and/or bees.

My brother-in-law has just told us some happy news, so a card was definitely in order!

'Twas a glorious sunny afternoon in the garden yesterday - got rather snip happy with the secateurs! Today's definitely rather dreary. But perfect for a huge Sunday roast and a spot of crafting! :)

Stampin Up Butterflies Thinlits

Using the sketch from InKspireMe and the ButterflyChallenge wants doilies.

FridayMashUp want butterflies and lace.

The corner punch is great for "softening" the look; I like how it complements the rounded simple butterfly die too. I can't believe it's the first time I've played with the mini paper doilies. Very sweet they are!

Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life

SeizeTheBirthday has "anything goes".

Still playing with my new "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set & punch!

Stampin Up Triple Heart Punch

A quicky with some snippets of patterned paper and bling for Di's playground and PapertakeWeekly want to see hearts.

Must dash; housework beckons. Oh joy!

Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life

LessIsMore have a "sunshine" challenge.

Another card with my new "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set & punch!

Better get dressed and think about Sunday lunch ...

Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life

SUonlyChallenges want flowers.

I've been playing with the brand new stamp "Sprinkles of Life" set and "Tree Builder" punch.

Available in the new catalogue on 2 June.

Lots of possibilities .... Flowers, cupcakes, ice creams, clouds ...

Need to play some more!

Masculine cards

Using FreshlyMadeSketches and FridayMashUp colours.

CASology's theme this week is music.

I have a dearth of teenage boys' cards ... Again! Need to restock!

Stampin Up Happy Watercolour

SUonlyChallenges want flowers.

On a recent visit to my brother's he surprised me with an unexpected gift:

Here it is in situ!

The Happy Watercolor stamp set was very apt I thought for a Thank You card!

Happy Saturday
